I think and hope the trade represents a natural progression for the Orioles. They can not continue to be the sellers. Hopefully we look at the Irvin trade in the future as the first deal the Orioles made to help the parent club get better.

I hope so too. Like I said in the article, I think how they approach this year's deadline (assuming they're within 3-4 games of a WC spot) compared to last year's deadline would go a long way towards buying they're serious about the rebuild being over.
