Young is a real good player.  He did not get a lot of help down the stretch.

Wisconsin wins, 64-59. Maryland suffers their first loss of the season, and are currently 1-1 in conference play.

Back in action on Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn against #7 Tennessee.

They had the OU at 130 6 minutes into the game, at least I was smart enough to pounce on the under there.

Caught parts of the game on the radio, but from what I gather, the Terps missed a lot of makeable shots in the 12 to 15-foot range. The game isn't all about three-pointers.

Looks like MD struggled with Wisconsin's height in second half. Multiple blocked shots, several defensive plays to keep MD from getting to basket. Very sloppy. 

 

Still, they kept it competitive when it looked like the game was getting away from them.

Thought MD was the better team honestly, just missed too many easy shots and layups.  Wisconsin is tough to beat there.  Win 1 of the next 2 and this would still be an impressive 4-game stretch.

Maryland didn't move at all in KenPom's rankings after this game, they're still at #19. Wisconsin jumped up a few spots to #39.
