I love deGrom but I think a guaranteed 5 years is a bad move for a 34 year old oft-injured pitcher, and deGrom clearly was chasing the money. He had everything in NY and could have gone down a legend. I just feel like there's a very high chance this is regretted by both sides.

That rumor was out there for awhile so get odds to get it at +2500. Where you bet it at. I havent seen odds for FAs to land in certain places

This is straight Dallas silliness. They offer these overpriced contracts to a couple of guys. Then it's like they say to themselves, "That's it, we nailed it. I can't wait for Oct to get here"
