Very interesting situation. I don’t think McVay is a rebuild guy at this point. And there were talks last off season that he really wants to spend his life with his family, not 24/7/365 football. I can understand that, when you’ve already got it made.

McVay's not looking at the rosiest of futures with the Rams. That bill is coming due on the mortgage.

 

Maybe the guy is just burned out. Kind of reminds me of Dick Vermeil with the Eagles back when. Got them to a Super Bowl and then stepped aside a few years later while still a relatively young man. Or John Madden, for that matter.
