Quickly losing faith. Was thinking about trying to find a way to get Francona 5 min ago. Not gonna happen next year but Im starting to think Hyde isnt the answer on a team with expectations
Just awful today. Starts at the top, IMO. Hyde has really made a lot of strange choices this week.

I can see not thinking the O's will play well from here on forward. But fortunes change so quick, and there is still very clearly a path. This series becomes the one stumble I thought they could still absorb. Gotta play really well from here on out now that they botched this weekend.
Win both against the Nats and hope the Jays lose at least 3 of 5 to TB.

Gonna have to win 5 of 6 from Jays.Toronto losing now, if that holds it's still only 5 games.

Likely, barring them having a really bad stretch in between the series.
Gonna have to win 5 of 6 from Jays.

Why shouldn't the fans quit? Clearly the manager has.
We haven't won on a Sunday forever
We haven't won a day game forever.
We haven't been hitting for crap.
We have a day off tomorrow.
This should have been all hands on deck but no Hyde puts out just about the weakest lineup possible.
He's starting to frustrate me like Showalter. Thinks he smarter than every body else playing some "long game" forgetting to look at what's staring him in the face.

At least Toronto lost. But we should have made up a game today. Shameful.

It's still 4 teams. The 3 hottest teams will get in, from today, regardless of yesterday.
I was sort of joking writing "winning is easy" when they were playing crazy well. You're never as good as you are when you're playing well or as bad as you are when you aren't.
Everyone was sort of waiting for Stowers or Henderson to be some magic wand. It's not that easy.
It's going to be more than Talent. When you change the Attitude and Chemistry, you have to find a way to get back to what was working, even when the Talent is better. This is ALWAYS the case and just because you sign a guy or 2 doesn't change that. Tigers thought they were making that step with young pitching, Tork and Greene and signing bigger FAs (ERod, Baez)....now they are one of the worst teams in the AL.

The clock seems to have struck 12 but at least to me that is okay.
I see people getting mad at the players and Hyde but I think they have delivered far more than even the biggest optimist could have wished for. I think most of us realized the offense was going to be a problem and it has, but hopefully that will be a focus for the off season.
My hope for the remaining of the year is to get past 81 wins.
