Don't think that turn shows us anything about Vavra. He was purposefully not rushing on it, which was smart because he had all day. He just made a terrible throw even when taking his time.

Vavra kind of showing he is a AAAA guy. I mean its tough to call that so early. He certainly knows how to work an AB but it doesnt matter if hes not going to hit the ball hard enough. Defense is obviously suspect

Have hit numerous longballs but thats pretty much it for the offense this series. Not many hits

Vavra through the ball away on the throw around one inning. His arm is very suspect.
Odor probably makes that play.

I mean if we're judging by just that inning, Mountcastle was the worst defender imo. Point is, it's a super small sample which may or may not be indicative of how good one's defense is.

True. It felt like one jam too many, and with a lead, I would have managed it differently, but he did well to only give up the 1 there. I just have no confidence in the bats right now.

Right. Its not just the throws by itself its that Hyde was hesitant to play him in the field for a long time.
