Not a lot of power but if we get the right guys on, we could stage a track meet.

Vavra, must be challenged with the glove. Hyde clearly does not want him playing a position.

Seeing Phillips in the lineup and not Stowers is pretty annoying.

By, it’s liftoff from here, he meant at some future time.Seeing Phillips in the lineup and not Stowers is pretty annoying.
This year is too much an improbability.

Between him and Cowser destroying AA ball, not bringing these guys up is really really annoying.

Great Gazoo batting 9th. It makes me physically angry to see him in an Oriole uniform.

I SAN-TAN-DARE YOU: Anthony Santander extended his season-long hitting streak to 14 games with an RBI double in the ninth inning on Wednesday...The 14-gamer is the third- longest active streak in MLB (see chart at right)...He is slashing .375/.435/.679 (21-for-56) with five doubles, four home runs, nine runs scored, 13 RBI, and five multi-hit efforts during his stretch, which is the longest by an O's batter this season...Santander has also driven in a run in seven straight games, the longest active streak in MLB and the longest such stretch by an O's player since Ryan Mountcastle tallied an RBI in seven straight games from July 30 to August 6, 2021...Santander leads the Orioles in home runs (19), RBI (59), slugging percentage (.457), and wRC+ (126).
THEY'RE NASTY: The Baltimore bullpen owns a 3.06 ERA (145 ER/426.1 IP) through their first 105 games of the year, the fourth-lowest bullpen ERA in MLB (see chart at right)...Last year, O's relievers finished the season with a 5.68 ERA (421 ER/666.2 IP), the worst in MLB...In the month of July, the Orioles 'pen ranked third in the AL and fifth in MLB with a 2.66 ERA (29 ER/98.0 IP) in 25 games...O's relievers ranked second in MLB with 115 strikeouts last month, while their 31 walks allowed were tied for the 12th-fewest in the majors, giving them an AL- leading 3.71 K/BB ratio in July, trailing only the New York Mets (3.88 K/BB)...The Baltimore bullpen worked 11 scoreless games last month (39.1 IP), in which the Orioles went 11-0.
STARTING TO AD UP: Adley Rutschman has 22 doubles in his first 58 career games, becoming the ninth MLB player since 1901 to do so and first since Toronto's Bo Bichette in 2019-20 (also 22)...His 28 walks in his first 58 games are the fourth-most in O's history (since 1954) to begin a career behind Leo Gomez (29, 1990-91), Curt Blefary (35, 1965), and Glenn Gulliver (38, 1982- 83)...He has reached base safely multiple times in 12 of his last 13 games, including drawing a career-high three walks on Wednesday in Texas...He reached base safely multiple times in nine consecutive games from July 17-30, the longest streak by a rookie in Orioles history, surpassing the record of eight games set by Boog Powell in 1962...It was the longest streak by a rookie since St. Louis' Tommy Edman reached base safely multiple times in 10 straight games in 2019...According to The Elias Sports Bureau, it was tied for the longest streak by a rookie catcher since 1958, the first season there was an official rookie rule in MLB; other rookie catchers to reach base safely multiple times in nine straight games include Minnesota's Butch Wynegar in 1976 and New York-AL's Thurmon Munson in 1970.
