I wonder what a certain former poster would say? 😄

He’s not the greatest ever.

But he’s clearly #2.

Beyond the discussion of titles, there are two sometimes opposing considerations in legacy debates regardless of sport, which are peak and longevity/durability.

When people argue on behalf of guys like Magic, Bird, Barkley, and MJ, they will invariably focus more on peak. On the other hand, longevity will be featured more in an argument for someone like Duncan, Karl Malone, or John Stockton.

Like Kareem, LeBron is really building an incredible case on both fronts.

His peak is right there with the very best, and his career value arguably already is the greatest.

I don't even think it's particularly close anymore.

I think the best arguments for LeBron are his longevity, and well-roundness (passing, rebounding, help defense)...  but I'd take Jordan everytime if I had to choose.

I don't feel like that's a slight to LeBron.

Yea, I'm the same way. No slight to Jordan at all, but I just have never seen anything or anyone like LeBron.

Other than Kuzma, not sure what the Lakers have to entice teams to trade.  Their next draft pick is not due until somewhere near 2073.

I know it is the NBA, and teams like buying expiring contracts, but not sure the Lakers are even a player there.

Got a futures wager on the Lakers to win it all from back way before all this started. Gotta say I still like my chances. LeBron and AD are going to be fresh.

No Avery Bradley hurts them though.

JR Smith is a more veteran Avery Bradley anyway. They'll be alright.
