The O's are now just four victories shy of the all-time franchise record for consecutive wins. The 1973 Orioles won 14 straight from August 12 thru August 27 en route to 97 wins and the AL East championship. Two other Oriole teams (1978 and 1999) won 13 in a row, while the 1987 squad posted an 11-game winning streak. None of those, however, qualified for postseason play.
