Remember a few weeks ago when Mike Brey announced he'd be retiring at the end of this season and held a whole retirement press conference? Apparently that's not happening anymore. He may be leaving Notre Dame, but he told Jeff Goodman he plans to keep coaching. Georgetown would seem to be a likely destination with all of his DMV ties.

Meanwhile, New Mexico about to hand Wyoming their first road win in over a year. And their first win at The Pit since 2016. Wyoming improves to 8-17, while the Lobos have dropped their 4th in a row and have now lost 5 of their last 6 games. House did not play for them tonight, but they are in quite a slide.
Providence improved to 14–0 at home this year by surviving a 2OT thriller vs. Creighton whose 8 game win streak was snapped. What a terrific game.

There are some...things going on inside Alabama's basketball program. Darius Miles was dismissed from the team after killing a woman outside a strip mall last month, and now it comes out that Brandon Miller brought the gun that was used in the shooting. Nate Oats says that Miller was just in the "wrong place at the wrong time" and isn't at any risk of being dismissed from the team.
It's always been known that the way Oats runs his program is a little shady, but this could really derail things.

Ya don’t say
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Seems wild to me that its not a crime to loan a gun to somebody who basically immediately commits a shooting with that gun.

Hey we're not Baylor, we've got standards!

Retrieving a gun and giving it to someone who goes on to commit a murder might not be a crime, but it sure ought not be dismissed with "wrong place at the wrong time." While MD never really had a chance to hire Nate Oats, I'm glad it didn't happen after reading that.
