Surrender Index

HOU decided to punt to IND from the IND 49 on 4th & 3 with 0:20 remaining in OT while tied 20 to 20. With a Surrender Index of 72.12, this punt ranks at the 100th percentile of cowardly punts of the 2022 season, and the 99.6th percentile of all punts since 1999.

This is why any game that ends in a tie should go in the standings as a loss for both teams. You'd definitely disincentivize this sort of anti-competitive behavior.

Long snappers get injured mid-Game maybe like 0-1 times per year in the NFL, and the teams simply don’t have backups. And it’s WAY harder than you think. And it screws up WAY more aspects of the game than you think. The Bengals might lose (or tie) because of that freaky scenario

Bengals turned the ball over two times in eight games during that crazy late-season run to the Super Bowl. They have four turnovers in the first half today.

Watt is so dominant for that Pittsburgh defense.... could be a huge season changing injury.

after the insanely competitive 2021 playoffs I thought there was no chance week 1 could compare... but this week 1 has been one of the BEST WEVE EVER SEEN and it's only halfway home

Absolutely brutal. What an insane game and massive win for the team, but losing Watt means losing any chance at winning the division.

And yet I feel like he'll somehow be healed up and fine in 2 weeks, while Stanley will wind up on IR by morning... ;)

One more quick tidbit before the games begin: #Bucs WR Julio Jones clocked the fastest time of any player on his team during training camp practices, I’m told. If you are wondering how he’s been in Tampa
