Jacksonville lost the AQ and the conference championship when Richmond beat them by 1 yesterday. Do they get an at large birth tonight, hard to say. Personally I rather see them then another ACC team

It’s actually ridiculous how good Maryland is this season. They were only up 3-1 after the first quarter, but the halftime score is 12-2.

#1 Maryland beats Vermont, 21-5. Most lopsided NCAA Tournament victory in program history.

Big game against reigning #9 Virginia in Columbus, OH next Sunday with a trip to the Final Four on the line. When they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, Maryland won 23-12.

Cornell and Rutgers haven’t even started the second half of their game yet due to lightning which doesn’t seem to be improving, so Maryland’s game will likely be delayed until at least the early evening.

UPDATE: Sounds like they’re pushing Cornell-Rutgers’ second half all the way to 6:00. Maryland has gone back to their hotel and will likely have to wait until at least 8:00 for their game.

Cornell and Rutgers will resume their game at 4:45, which means Maryland’s game should begin around 7:00 tonight.

UPDATE: Maryland’s game against Princeton will begin around 6:20 PM.

Despite going without a goal for nearly 15 minutes during the second half, Maryland wins 13-8. Led by their defense, and a career-high 19 saves by Logan McNaney.

They’ll face Cornell in the National Championship Game on Monday afternoon. Key defenders Roman Puglise and Brett Makar suffered injuries tonight, which could be a factor on Monday.

I thought Makar returned to the game after leaving the field against Princeton. Puglise’s absence would be significant. Cornell doesn’t have MD’s depth (who does?), and with the temperature expected to push 90-degrees, that could be a factor too. Hopefully McNaney can keep the hot hand for one more game.

Maryland leads 7-2 at halftime. Cornell isn’t even playing that poorly, the Terps are just so damn good.

Maryland survives a late Cornell run and wins the National Championship, 9-7! A fitting end for one of, if not the best collegiate men’s lacrosse teams of all time.
