Today was the last Saturday without college football until January 2023! I decided to celebrate by reviewing the teams I see as the favorites in the Big 12 and Pac-12, plus whether or not any G5 teams have a shot at the playoff once again.

Guess you didn't read it, but agree on all 3 counts. Although, if BYU somehow manages to go 12-0, I don't see how they aren't a part of a serious discussion. Their schedule is stronger, at least at the top, than Cincinnati's was.

My how the mighty have fallen. You mention BYU, SDSU, and FSU as potential G5 teams. Narry a word about Boise State. Them spud pickers who just happen to have beaten both BYU and FSU on the road last year. And have all 3 of those teams at home on the Blue this season. Get ready for some crow my friend.....lol.....

We'll see, Their schedule sets up favorably....Fresno St, SD St and BYU all at home. That road trip to Air Force could be tricky. I wouldn't sleep on Oregon State either.

I actually think we are going to lose to Oregon State. Then we'll see. We could have a very very good season or another way down year like last year. I am not sold on our OC yet but hoping last year was a learning curve for him jumping up to FCS. Time will tell.

I got Air Force over 8.5 wins. That game with Boise is huge.

Do agree Boise is the likely favorite to win the MWC.
