I'd be using that time to see if you can get Dziuba, Cornish, Dockery, and even Wright into the rotation.

IMO Manning would have to get to the s16 for him to be a remote possibility, and e8 for him to be a serious candidate.

Even then I'd probably depend on the circumstances, like if it was just a legendary hot streak from Fatts or Ayala at the right time I don't think that'd mean anything for future teams

So if the Terps make it to the s16, it means Manning coached this team into an at-large bid or he coached this team into winning the Big Ten Tourney. Either of those achievements is noteworthy, because we're currently not an at-large candidate and winning the BTT is a pretty big deal given how stacked the conference is. To then win 2 or 3 games at the tourney after facing the uphill battle to even get selected means a lot to me. The streakiest possible outcome here is that Fatts or Ayala get hot through the BTT and then one or the other gets hot for the NCAAT. Even then I feel that Manning would have to get some credit for putting guys in a position to succeed.
