He technically has two years of eligibility remaining, but I’d expect next year to be his last one. If he continues to develop and progress the way he has over the last few years, he’ll absolutely have a chance to be drafted. His height (5’11”) will be seen as a detriment, but that’s not insurmountable in today’s NFL.Is Taulia any sort of pro prospect? I see he'd listed as a redshirt sophomore. Not really worried about next year, just wondering if it's reasonable to hope for 2 more years from him.

I think there are guys similar to Taulia on NFL rosters. I could see him being a day 3 pick as it stands now, but he has more time to develop.
Taulia does have arm talent and is mobile and we witnessed that yesterday. His skill set is similar to Josh Johnson, who we saw last Sunday IMO.

Considering the present state of quarterbacking in the NFL, I’d say he has a chance to make someone’s roster.

Still surprised they just...won so comfortably? It feels pretty surreal.

Taulia will 100% get drafted after next season.
Yea, I think 4th or 5th round.

Hes a midget without NFL caliber arm strength
The guy just put up the best season from a quarterback in Maryland football history, but all you can do is hate on him lol

The arm strength is actually pretty decent imo. Good velocity (better than his brother imo). I'm not sure he's a pro, but I absolutely can see him being a later round pick and getting a chance.
And if he self destructs less in '22, and runs a bit more.... and MD has a bit more team success, wouldn't be shocking to me if he's more of a 3rd / 4th vs. 5th / 6th / 7th / FA.

Smaller, mobile QB's are no longer a rarity in the NFL, and I think his arm is average.

I think Locksley did a good job getting the team to buy into the game/care, and VT is dealing with a new coach and like their 3rd string QB. Looked to me like VT was just going through the motions.
Sincerely not trying to downplay it, but I don't think that was VT's best effort by any means.

He could run more, though I wonder if not doing so is by design to keep him from taking too much contact because the depth behind him is not very good. As for his meltdowns, that is by far the biggest area he must improve and I've talked about that repeatedly. Hopefully maturity will take care of that.

Hes not that mobile either. Kyler Murray is a 1 out of 1 exception for guys that are 5'10 playing a good QB in the NFL.

He's elusive enough to extend plays, and I think next year he needs to take more yards available to him on the ground.
I mean, I get the questions you have about him at the next level. They are real concerns, but whatever.
For college, he's going to enter '22 as one of the top returning QBs in the country. MD needs to capitalize on that.
