There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Nice to see Maryland on the high end of a blowout.

Even on an otherwise perfect day Ron Zook has put his hideous stamp on the game. Fortunately the fake punt and blocked kick won't matter at all.

I know it's fourth and a mile, but why are you punting from your opponent's territory when you're down 37 with 8 minutes to go?

Although with the Terps ST, a roughing the punter penalty, muffed kick or converting a fake might be higher odds.

Real fun day. Happy for Locksley and the team. Taulia played great. A lot of guys did. The practice must have been productive.
I think it was important to finish the year with a winning record. Nice job Terps!!

That's how you finish the season, playing your butt off for all 60 minutes, outscoring your final two opponents 94-26, protecting the football, and at least minimizing the dumb penalties. Play this way against the Big Ten powers and you can at least hang with them for 4 Qtrs. I hope they can find some way to bottle this for when they get into the conference schedule next season.

All in all, a positive step forward. It seemed pretty clear to me yesterday that MD was interested in the game and VT wasn't, but still, a beatdown of a program like VT on a national scene is never a bad thing.
Keep trying to build depth. Still need to stop the total beatdowns against higher echelon teams but we saw some more competitive games towards the end on that front.
Is Taulia any sort of pro prospect? I see he'd listed as a redshirt sophomore. Not really worried about next year, just wondering if it's reasonable to hope for 2 more years from him.
Finally, I did want to mention that I got to listen to a fair amount of games on the radio due to scheduling, and Steve Suter is really enjoyable. Yesterday MD tried to run some sort of double receiver screen and he said, "I've seen MD run that play 6 or 7 times this year, and it has worked 0 times". But his delivery of it was great. He'd got good chemistry with Holliday too, who as much as I love him, no doubt struggles to keep up with the action.
Anyway, just some rambling final thoughts there. Hope Locksley can continue to add talent and maybe get some better coaching in here.
