Still only 19 and he did cut his strikeout rate by 13% while doubling his ISO from 2022 but another very disappointing season for one of the top international signings from the 2021 international class.

.180 (.577), 24 R, 6 doubles, 2 HR, 10 RBI, 17 BB, 1 SB

Promoted to Delmarva, which unfortunately feels like his time with the organization may soon be coming to an end.

They have nothing invested in non-prospects like Noelberth Romero, Elio Prado, and Alejandro Méndez and they keep giving those guys reps year after year. They have 1.4M invested in Maikol Hernandez and he’s still only 20 years old. I don’t think he’s going anywhere anytime soon, except Delmarva.

Those guys have a modicum of ability, Hernandez has a .164 BA and .523 OPS across three FCL seasons covering 382 PA. Maybe this move jump starts something but he’s almost 21 now and they didn’t have an issue cutting Luis Gonzalez and he was the big bonus in 2019. Maybe they give him the rest of the year to show them something but the lower full season roster limit also hurts guys like him now.
