Who cares that they had travel problems, when they were off yesterday?

Can't believe ARod is under contract through '17. He grounds out... O's coming up in the 2nd.

Me either. The last year of his contract will be the 24th season in his big-league career, and he'll be 42. I remember part of the justification for the Yankees giving him the 10/275 deal back in '08 was that they were paying a premium for the amount of revenue $$'s he would bring to the organization when he broke the home run record.

Right now he's sitting on 647. His last two season's he his 18 (this year) and 16 (2011). He missed significant time in both seasons due to injury.

Rodriguez would have to average 23 home runs to reach the record. It's not impossible, but I'd say there's less than a 5% chance of it happening at this point, unless he somehow has a David Ortiz esque rebound next year (and can uncharacteristically stay really healthy).

Alright, who freaked out about the Jeter play?

I was pissed. That's bush league by Jeter. Who does he think he is, Kent Hrbek?

Every Yankee baserunner tonight needs to be pushed off the bag.

I was thinking the same thing. Apparently they had a work out that they cancelled due to the delays, but I'm OK with that. It's October 10th. I think they're worked out enough as it is.

Every Yankees' player's kid must be pushed down by a friend...right now!

TBS wants a national day of mourning tomorrow for the ball that bounced of Koroda's leg.

Has Cano ever done anything at more than about 70-75% speed?

Cano grounds out, and Gonzalez looks sharp early.

Like the Ichiro play on Monday, I'm glad that the Jeter/McLouth play happened so early in the night. Just put it behind you and move on, certainly no excuses.

It might be because he's one of the biggest bargains this team ever got.

If the O's don't win tonight, what odds would you give them on winning the series? (I believe the O's won 2 games in a row, around 30 times this year.) Would it impact you from going with Tillman tomorrow (know it has still not been announced).
