This Richard Sherman story sounds like it has CTE written all over it.

Or his lack of a contract this year due to either wanting too much or no interest. Isn't CTE more of a drug issue.? His is alcohol.

The suicide threat, the manic behavior, could be alcohol, drugs, altered mental state, combination. Just don’t know.

I was thinking the same thing.

The man definitely has issues and I hope that he gets the help that he needs.

The NFL just informed clubs that if a game cannot be rescheduled during the 18-week season in 2021 due to a COVID outbreak among unvaccinated players, the team with the outbreak will FORFEIT and be credited with a loss for playoff seeding, per sources. Massive implications.

Seems like an empty gesture to me.  Certainly not massive implications.  Especially if, as it sounds from the above description, an outbreak among vaccinated players that led to a cancellation doesn't count as a forfeit?

Every game was played last season, when there were no vaccines.  Hard to see them not finding a way to play all the games now that some percentage much higher than last year's 0% of players and staff will be vaccinated.

Yeah, they're basically saying they'll work with vaccinated teams, but they have no sympathy for the unvaccinated.  There are still teams - WFT, for example - at less than 50%.  Unvaccinated players who test positive have a mandatory 10-day quarantine period, so unvaccinated teams could potentially become shorthanded in a hurry.

Are they going to let vaccinated players who test positive play? I don’t think so, as it then spreads to the unvaccinated.

There’s a simple solution. These totally healthy athletes, other than a select few with conditions that may not allow it, could just get vaccinated. You have a higher likely hood of developing CTE than the vaccine causing you harm. I don’t understand the outspoken players line of thinking about this the last couple days.

This is interesting.  Vikings fire or part ways with assistant coach (and our old friend) Rick Dennison because he refused to get vaccinated (or provide a valid religious or medical reason for not doing so).

No, but the route back is easier - you just need 2 negative tests.

The way the players are speaking out on this, this is much, much more than an empty gesture.

Seems like the league made it quite clear that tier 1 personnel have to be vaxxed, or have a good excuse not to be. “I don’t want to” doesn’t count. People willing to lose their jobs over a shot in the arm. Just. Crazy.

They league should put a " U" on the jersey of any unvaccinated player. That way, the fans can easily figure out who to bury after their team has to forfeit a game.
