Believe the rumor is Wichita State, though I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, that'd be great and make a lot of sense.

Well, the guy who screwed up the first time isn't here anymore, and he had the right target (though in hindsight, lucked out I guess?). I think there are interested parties (Plank, Gary, etc.) Who will be involved to help make sure it's the right target.

Fat lot of good Plank has done getting us a decent football coach.
I'm pretty cynical of Maryland athletics at the moment. That's not to say that I wouldn't welcome a change. I just don't trust them to make the right call. Should I have more faith in Damon Evans? I guess Debbie Yow and Kevin Anderson left me with ptsd when it comes to Maryland sports.

Missed part of the story last night on the news, but Turg looked pretty upset at something having to be held back from going after somebody. Ref??????????????

I was doing really random stuff around the house and missed this game. It's always a bummer when they don't even compete.
Was it bad effort or just simply outclassed by a really good Michigan team?

Michigan is excellent, and their skills match-up well with MD's limitations... but MD also helped them out with a poor performance, and scheme wise Turgeon didn't do much to help his players.

I think the effort was fine. Michigan is much better and also had a great night shooting, whereas MD didn't. The kids try hard, at some point it has be a somewhat demoralizing to realize you're part of a program going in the wrong direction.

Morsell felt like he got hit in the face and screamed at the ref, earning a technical. Turgeon was standing up for him.
I think Morsell's reaction was a cumulative effect, he thought he was fouled a few other times and it wasn't called and then getting hit in the face when he's already injured there was the last straw.

Also suffered the injury in the previous game after the shot to the head.

I don't necessarily believe the program is going in the wrong direction. I think MD can be very good next year.
Do agree that ultimately the ceiling is only so high with Turgeon.

I appreciate that you are always optimistic about the MD program. I just don't see it. I hope you are right.

They're going to need to land a big in the transfer market. If they accomplish that (after striking out last Spring); there is enough talent on the roster to do good things.
The fanbase is not going to be willing to buy in until there is a change at the top though.

Thanks, yeah, a coach has to protect his players.
Sometimes these gets hit that point, enough is enough.
