Reese will play in the 71st annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, the tournament announced on Friday. The draft showcase is set for next week, April 16-19, at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia. 

 

Two Terps participated in the PIT last season, Jahmir Young and Donta Scott. Young, who was named to the all-tournament team, had a fantastic season in the G League and has played five games with the Chicago Bulls. Scott had a strong G League season for the Santa Cruz Warriors as well, averaging 10.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Jahmir Young has been named to the 2024-25 All-NBA G League Rookie Team. He averaged 21.5 points, 7.2 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game with the Grand Rapids Gold (Denver Nuggets) and Windy City Bulls (Chicago Bulls) before his late season call-up to the Bulls where he played in six games.

Reese has been named to the P.I.T. All-Tournament Team for his performances this weekend. He averaged 13.3 points and 10.7 rebounds over the course of three games.

As reported by IMS, Melo Trimble has been named as the Playoff MVP of the VTB United League (Russia's top basketball league). This is the second straight season that he won the award and his team (CSKA Moscow) won the VTB Championship.

Derik Queen is headed to New Orleans as the 13th pick in this year’s NBA Draft after the Pelicans acquired the rights to his selection from Atlanta.
