Yeah yeah, change the culture, lots of new players, blah blah blah.  This team is so unbelievably unprepared.  After this season Mike Locksley will be 6-48 as as head coach.

So your in favor of giving him an extension?

That's because you prefer to call plays that make sense.

I mean, I usually prefer to be patient and give plenty of time.  And I like Locksley and am certainly pulling for him.

 

But these beatdowns go well beyond just being out-talented.  I just don't see how anyone can see any hope at all with this program right now.

Makes the "if you're not first, you're last" bit quite literal. Just wow.

The most irritating thing about this, IMO, is by trying to be a football school and investing so much money they didn't even have into various football related expenditures, Maryland basketball is stuck in purgatory with Turgeon because they can't afford to get rid of him.

This whole thing is just an unmitigated disaster. And I'm tired of the excuses, and the wait til ______ happens (like New Cole being finished) and things will turn around. They never do. And even when they do for a minute, it's always extraordinarily temporary.

I'd love to write them off for a bit, but for some reason my son loves Maryland football and just never gives up on them.  So I'll have to watch all 8 games this year, and every game watch him get mad as the game goes on.

I think Mike Locksley is very probably a terrible tactician and in-game coach. Terrible. That's what my eyes tell me, and his record seems to do nothing to counter that perception.

I'm so tired of watching Maryland football that is SO consistently inept at playing defense... against ANYONE... it's mind-blowing...

Stack a few classes and maybe you can overcome the coaching to a degree.

Or invest in higher caliber assistants.

I respect Fitzgerald and NW...but getting run off the field by them is ridiculous.
