Alberto. Under .700 OPS. That was in real time. Im tempted to just let Vailaka hold down 2b next year until Bannon is ready. I think he might put up more WAR than Alberto
Mullins right? Hasn’t walked much and doesn’t hit for power.

And now in real time you are right with Mullins making an out. Alberto .701 to Mullins .699.Mullins right? Hasn’t walked much and doesn’t hit for power.
Anyway, it was a chance for me to push my Vailaka agenda.

Makes sense. Alberto also doesn’t walk or hit for power. I still start him at second or third base next year but hope somebody bumps him eventually if he still struggles a bit.

Part of me likes Alberto. I gave him some love earlier in the year. Right now for whatever reason Im infatuated with Vailaka.

Valaika had a great year as super utility. Added a lot. Very useful.

Yeah I missed on Alberto. He really fell off the second half.

At least he's not locked in for the next 5 years

They beat my prediction by 4 games. But to be fair, they got to my prediction what, a month ago.
Beat mine by 6. They made progress and for the most part made it entertaining.
Some guys stepped up this season.
Santander, Mullins to name 2.

Yes but to be fair the amount I was talking wouldn't have affected the O's ability to do other things one bit. And he still played a good 2B and hit .280.

Mullins actually got his OPS up to .723 and OPS+ up to 97. He finished strong with 4 XBH's in his last 4 games - and just missed a couple of homers in those games. If you look at his minor league stats from 2016-2018, he actually did show xbh pop, and he finally started showing that at the end of this season - when a lot of people seemed to write him off. I think he's now established himself as at least a 4th OFer - with a chance to be a starter.
Alberto should probably be mainly a platoon player next season. Akin should be looked at as a reliever.

I agree with these long term but think to start next season you give Akin every chance to establish himself as a SP and you give Alberto a chance to rebound.

It looks like the Orioles will draft either 5th or 6th. They tied with Arizona.

It's 5th unless MLB decides to change the rules for deciding the draft order for 2021 (which they have the right to do under the agreement with MLBPA to play this season).

The tie breaker is who had the worst record the year before, so if they follow that it is 5th.

I'll certainly take a top 5 pick while also having an entertaining season that gave us hope and positive developments for the future.
