Josh Jennings, a 2022 TE from Good Counsel, tweeted he's committed to MD. He doesn't show up in any recruiting databases I've seen. I'm guessing he'll be a PWO.

Looks like he was also Good Counsel’s long snapper, so it’s possible he contributes there at some point as well.

Today is the day that the 2022 early enrollees moved onto campus, so maybe the new PWOs are EEs as well.

He’s ranked as a 3-star recruit, so a very solid addition as a walk-on.

Unranked JuCo OL Liridon Mujezinovic has committed to Maryland. He’s a mammoth 6’8”, 282 lb. lineman from the Netherlands who was with Garden City Community College last year, but didn’t play. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

He was a 3-star recruit out of high school, and was committed to Temple for a few months. He also had high school offers from Cincinnati, Louisiana, and UMass.

Jaishawn Barham was named Defensive MVP at the Polynesian Bowl yesterday.

 

Offensive MVP was Travis Hunter, he of the famous signing day flip from FSU to Jackson State.

Unranked JuCo OL Liridon Mujezinovic has committed to Maryland. He’s a mammoth 6’8”, 282 lb. lineman from the Netherlands who was with Garden City Community College last year, but didn’t play. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

He was a 3-star recruit out of high school, and was committed to Temple for a few months. He also had high school offers from Cincinnati, Louisiana, and UMass.

 

He played soccer growing up, so could be a sign he'll have an easier time learning the proper footwork for his position.

4-star QB Cameron Edge (Smyrna, DE) will be on campus this weekend. He’s technically a 2023 recruit but there’s talk that he’ll be reclassifying to 2022. People also seem to think Maryland has a very good chance to land him.

He’s currently ranked as the 17th-best QB in the country, and the best player from the state of Delaware. Stay tuned.

Strong rumors swirling that Edge committed to Maryland on his visit last weekend. Nothing official yet, but if he is in fact reclassifying we should know on Wednesday.

Edge is really the only remaining 2022 target who’d have to sign tomorrow. There are a handful of transfer and JuCo guys still out there who could sign later, but the staff is primarily focused on 2023 right now.

As it stands, the 2022 class is ranked #31 and would likely be a Top 25 one with the addition of Edge.

Maryland’s 2022 class is currently ranked #34, but should jump into the Top 25 (if not the Top 20) with the addition of Edge and the ranking of Mujezinovic.

Given the additional pickups of Copeland and Ryland via the transfer portal, this has the looks of a very successful class for Locksley and his coaching staff.

My calculations were slightly off, but it looks like they should be at about #30 with these two additions. They'll jump past Rutgers (and maybe Iowa) to be 6th or 7th in the conference.
