Three Maryland players were selected in the XFL Draft earlier this week.

DB Antoine Brooks, Jr. was selected in the 13th round by Seattle.
DB AJ Hendy was selected in the 14th round by Houston.
DB Jordan Mosley was selected in the 18th round by Houston.

Maryland’s seven invitees to the NFL Combine is good for ninth-most of any college program, tied with Oklahoma, Penn State, and Tennessee.

DB Deonte Banks just ran an unofficial 4.35-second 40-yard dash at the combine. He was already being mocked in the first round, and this will only help his chances there.

Banks, Bennett, and Duncan are all getting attention as possible Day 1-3 picks, with Anderson, Demus, and Jarrett all projected as potential Day 3 selections.

Jarrett Day 3 will be a nice pick for someone. He certainly has a chance to be very good.

Banks should definitely get consideration from the Ravens at 22 if he doesn't go sooner. And Bennett in round 3 depending on how the 1st round plays out.

 

Either player could make a ton of sense.
