We can play semantics if you want. Your "different scary" is just the definition of a trap game. To me trap games aren't scary you just have to be mentally sound.

And I've said it for a while, this team will lose a game that we definitely should lose at some point, so maybe that's this one. This is the NFL. The Dolphins won. Beating a Jets team that just beat the Cowboys. If any team can win any week is scary to you, all NFL games should be scary.

And my assessment of your perspective is that you didn't think this team could win at Seattle or vs New England if you didn't see it first. So you calling this game scary seems to be another extension of the same misgivings you have about this team (which, is totally fair and reasonable).

And my assessment of my perspective has been pretty rose colored so far. You could say I'm more optimistic than others and that I should be more scared of this game. I liked the Ravens to crush an overrated Pats team that I saw on tape.

The Ravens have a habit of letting games stay close that shouldn't be. AJ Green is just coming back. They are off the bye week. But this line is -10 for a reason. This Bengals team is not very good...

Lol...of course it’s scary because it’s a trap game.

You should win every trap game because they are, by definition, games that you play against an inferior opponent.

And this has nothing to do with what I thought about Seattle or NE, despite your attempt at trying to read me (bad attempt btw).

This is strictly the idea that we are playing a team that gave us issues at home not that long ago, a team we have historically had issues against, a player coming back that has dominated us (Green) and the idea that this game is sandwiched in between a lot of important games...not to mention the emotion coming off of a huge win.

Now, if they don’t overlook Cinci, they win going away. My issue is solely based on the hope they don’t overlook them. This is the type of game that you would overlook...it’s just human nature. If you don’t practice well, don’t come out prepared and just assume your talent wins, you will lose the game. That’s my concern.

If they don’t overlook them, they may win by 30+...if they do, it will be a game in the 4thQ.

I think we can all agree that Cinci shouldn’t come within 2-3 TDS of us.

I guess the better question is, are you scared this team is the type of team that could overlook them?

I would be scared about any team overlooking a team in this situation.

Like I said, it’s human nature.

They are saying the right things and hopefully what they are saying is how they are really approaching things.

I guess we just disagree on "scared". Concerned, sure. Worth giving a moments extra thought or attention, sure. Scared, not in the least.

Has there ever been a road game for the Ravens that wasn't scary?

If the answer is yes, then this game isn't scary.

I’m scared my wife isn’t coming home

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

I think for the most part, Harbaugh and his coaches keep the team focused and prepared to play each week so I'm not worried about their effort against the Bengals.  But as Rob mentioned, it's human nature to take things for granted and let your guard down, especially the mental aspect of grinding out an NFL season.  As in my weekly mantra, if they don't turn the ball over, continue to do what they do best which is pound the ball on offense, they should escape Cincy with at least a 10 point victory.

With the Bengals as the lone winless team, you have to expect they’ll be playing to lose the rest of the way.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Get up big on this game early.

Get Thomas, Lamar, Yanda, Stanley, Ingram, BWill, Brown and Humphrey out of the game as quick as possible.
