Why would Carroll accept that penalty? He gained 2 yards by accepting and lost the down.

He does but he has thrown the ball pretty poorly today overall although the conditions haven’t exactly been favorable and it’s not fair to not mention it.
But definitely should have a better completion percentage and what he has done with his legs today, especially in the second half, has been incredible.

I guess if I had to choose, I'd take Mark Andrews dropping the ball 5 times over catching the ball and having it slip out for a fumble-6.
