Wow, a Gilman kid who just replaced the injured players as a kick returner literally just let the ball roll to the 2 and not pick it up! Loyola recovers. That might be the most embarrassing moment in Gilman football history. Wow!

Is that Cracker Jack coach from Georgia still at the helm?

Yes he is. As I said on another post, they should have hired someone local. They did bring in some studs for the ninth grade class, but just not enough. I think they give him one more year, and then He will probably be out of there.

You were adamant that he was going to be the savior because he won a State championship in Ga. what happened?

I was on the record and pretty adamant that I wanted the MSJ coach. Never once said he was the savior and said it was a bad idea to hire him but will give him a chance. Not because he can’t coach, he can. It’s not about coaching anymore, it’s about getting kids and numbers. He got two of the best kids in the whole region in the ninth grade class, but you can’t win when you only bring in 4 kids total. This isn’t the 90’s or early 2000’s. You need bodies.

I guess your exuberance saying he won a Ga State title where Football is much better and his offense was like nothing we’ve seen in Maryland shaded me. Silly me.

GA your boys might be the worst team in the DMV . I see a OPHER season for the blue bloods .

Well, seeing as though they already have won a game, they can’t go winless. Now will they win another game, doubtful.

Can MSJ get revenge for the beat down they were handed last year or does GC stay their daddy . I’ll be in the building to get a birds eye view of some of the top talent each school has

Will be there also hopefully it is like two years ago for the Gaels. Either way should be a great game.

Looks like GC has a really good defense, not so good offense. Could be a low scoring affair.

I would disagree. LCA at the U of MD 7 on 7 tournament was probably the most athletic team there. Not sure

what their BIGS are like but athletically, they are about as good as anybody in this region. Their national ranking

of 278 is not that much worse than Spalding's 207

Archbishop Curley 30-21 over John Carroll.
Calvert Hall 31-13 over Avalon.
