He keeps hitting. Just to compare, no one is disappointed in Adley's season, and Stowers is doing better almost across the board at the same age and level (a little less than half Adley's PAs at AA though). .311/.408/.570 and 163 wRC+ at AA. The negatives are the .425 BABIP and 30% K rate. My understanding is that a high BABIP isn't always crazy for very good hitters in the minors, but that's still very high and could imply some regression. The K rate will be the big thing to watch going forward I guess, whether he can improve on that or continue to hit in spite of it. Exciting year so far though.

Hopefully he proves Law wrong.

Tom1:18Kyle Stowers is putting up pretty big numbers in AA (although in only 161 PA). Any hope for him?Keith Law1:19Fourth OF. Seen him a bunch.
Looked up Stowers numbers today. Seems like he's having a hot year after some mediocre ones, and a layoff in 2020.
4th OF in the majors would be a success story for this organization's development track record.

I think the truth is somewhere between Law's bias and the Orioles hype.

Some mediocre ones? The only professional time he had before this year was the last couple months of 2019 after he was drafted.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he does end up being a 4th outfielder but I also don’t take Keith Law’s analysis very seriously.

Not sure what you're looking at if you're looking back far enough for "some mediocre ones". He was drafted in 2019, played the rest of that year (poorly), then no action in 2020 (I can't seem to find the list of people at the alternate site, i don't think he was there), then big year this year.
