I heard that Gilman only has 39 players in the program and no JV this year! Absolutely mindblowing. Heard that McDonogh only has 40 players and no JV! Ridiculous what's going on in area football. Losing to Gonzaga like that, isn't surprising at all actually. New coach, didn't get there until the summer and new system. Plus, Zaga is probably the second best team in the WCAC. What's going on at DeMatha right now is more shocking.

Yet little poor old inner city St Frances has 80 all promised a football scholarship no doubt and their developmental squad Concordia Prep has 50

Concordia prep has 50?  It seems to me that they have a JV and a Varsity, the only C conference team to have one, and every B conference team also has a varsity and a JV to the best of my knowledge, maybe a deemphasis of football coupled with a even starker demographic change within Gilman and McDonogh is the reason why both of their football programs seems to be faltering. Like even 5 to 10 years ago every A conference team had a Freshman, JV and a Varsity team. Weird, but not really. Coaches need to go out in their own school and actively try to get kids to play football, in fact I was reading a really good Washington post article this, I'll send the link in this post.
