Worst Maryland's women's team in about 15 years.

I don't know what's wrong with Maryland sports, but someone needs to fix it.

Balt Sun: Maryland women’s basketball hopes overhauled roster brings back prominence in March

https://www.baltimor...rCUnyVlavbofB7A

The coach hopes those shortcomings will be filled by a quartet of key transfers: Kaylene Smikle (Rutgers), Saylor Poffenbarger (Arkansas), Sarah Te-Biasu (VCU) and Christina Dalce (Villanova). They all bring at least three seasons of college experience and long lists of accolades from their previous teams.

Smikle averaged 17 points per game over the past two seasons with the Scarlet Knights and was an All-Big Ten second-team selection last year. Poffenbarger, a Middletown native, was seventh in the country in rebounding. Te-Biasu was named the Atlantic-10 Conference Player of the Year. Dalce was the Big East co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Just saw the ending of the OSU game the other day in highlights. If I'm wrong on the rules here please let me know... but if you're dribbling the ball, slip and slide like 6 feet while holding the ball, then stand up and start dribbling again... that's a travel first (on the slide) and a double dribble (after the pause)... right??????

Cuz OSU did that with like 10ish second left and not a single referee felt obliged to blow their whistle...

Maryland entered the Big Ten Tournament as the #4 seed and earned the double-bye, but was just blown out by Michigan in their first game, 98-71.

Frese should have multiple titles with the talent she's had. Great regular season coach, Great recruiter, mediocre once the games really matter.

Im not saying I disagree but there have been true power programs that dominate WCBB. UConn. South Carolina having undefeated seasons and winning multiple titles in a row. She has made what? 3 FFs and has 1 title.

True, the gap in WBB between the truly elite teams and even the very very good teams is probably larger than any gap in sports.

Maybe I'm being too hard on her - she has a good many final fours and elite eights.

Haven't they suffered a few significant injuries this year?

They have. Bri McDaniel tore her ACL and is done for the year. Shyanne Sellers and Saylor Poffenberger have been in and out with injuries. That’s your three best scorers, so definitely played a role this year.
