Something with colors and lights that makes noises. They are at that stage where they are starting to get really mobile now and want to get into EVERYTHING, so something for them to manipulate switches, push buttons, make noises and be obnoxious is usually what captivates them...and keeping them out of the pots and pans drawers is nice.

Right after I typed this, I found one!

Snagged one for my kids yesterday too! (of course I'll play it too).  A friend of mine posted an updated on FB that the Best Buy in Glen Burnie had a few of them available.  I was at a Christmas Brunch when I saw his post but I lucked out and when the wife and I got there about 2 hours later I still scored one!

My wife wants a Nintendo Switch.

I'm gonna give her a tree branch and tell her, "You said you wanted a switch."

I'm weird.

But no, nothing extra special this year for me.

I got her the Switch last week, since I was going to be out late a few nights the upcoming week (bowling, happy hour, BSL happy hour).

She -loves- it. Splatoon is a seriously addictive game.

Recoil looks pretty dope. It's like a laser tag set except you download an app on your phone which attaches to the gun. The app is a map that shows you where you can reload, where other players are. Box says it works up to 500 feet. Was looking for a gift for an 8 year old. Box says 12 and up, 8 year olds don't have phones I guess. Looks cool though.
