...what?!?!?....trading for Hellickson isn't getting it done?
If I had to bet, we're done with anything of significance.

I hardly consider Hellickson anything of significance either....lol

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Tells you what they want is one elite prospect in a deal for Britton...and other pieces.

Trumbo scratched from line up.
So he's probably hurt and Gentry is called up.

Trumbo tweaked his back in the weight room. He's not getting traded you crazies.
Os have to add Hellickson on Monday to roster. Gentry here for Kim in meantime

The Twins flipped Garcia. Maybe the Orioles flip Hellickson.

Is there even a plan? I can't help but wonder if it's time for some new front office leadership, and maybe a little attention to the international market, which seems to be working out well for other teams? Just feels like we're in a rut that is sliding into mediocrity, then probably to worse.

Is there even a plan?
No.
...of course, there was no plan leading to the last 5 years either so there's always some random opportunity.

Right now, the Os are 5.5 games back. The angels and Rangers are also 5.5 out. The Twins are 5 out.
I think the orioles are likely on par or better than those teams and they could sell off pieces to make the Os definitely better. The only exception in that group may be the Angels. The Angels run differential is only -22 and they played without Trout for like 6 weeks.
But, Seattle/TB/KC are all better than the Os imo.
So, you have 3 definite teams and 1 other potential that is better than the Os...that is before we talk about Boston and
NY, 2 teams clearly better.
Do you keep these players hoping something clicks in the last 60ish games and beat out teams that have been better than you for several months?
It's a poor decision to keep Brach and britton unless the offers are total garbage.
Smith and Castillo should definitely be moved.
20 hours left and a lot of players are still sitting out there to be dealt.
