Coming out in Sept.
DK Country, Mario and Mario Kart are good enough for me.
Wish they had more games though.
Wait it actually has Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I will actually buy this.

Was hoping they'd put Super Tecmo Bowl on it. The original mini had Tecmo Bowl but Super Tecmo Bowl is easily the best sports game to ever come out in the retro era. Amazing lineup they have anyway. Just hope the supply is there. Super Nintendo holds up better than any gaming console pre Dreamcast.
Good one. This should be absolutely be on there.
I wonder if there is any chance they will add more games.
This is one of the best games ever.

SNES has Mario Kart, Super Mario World and, most importantly, A Link to the Past.
Sega has Sonic and, uh, Ecco the Dolphin?
Uh, pardon me, but Sega had ToeJam & Earl.
I'm still amazed that people didn't actually hang on to their original NES and SNES. Got both of mine and still break 'em out occasionally until the nostalgia wave passes, usually 45 mins to an hour after I start playing. But those minutes/hour are some fun times.

I have both a Genesis and a SNES. I didn't have an SNES growing up but bought one about 10 years back. It's awesome.

My 8 year old is actually playing this up in her room as we speak. They each got a retro console in their rooms, the 8 year old SNES and 6 year old Genesis.

My parents only let me have a Game Boy because I saved up enough allowance for it. First real console I had was a PS2 in high school. Loved playing SNES and Genesis at the houses of friends though.
And Markus had a good point. Toejam and Earl was sweet.

While there is no debate that Mario 3 on the NES is the best video game ever, I find between Sonic on Sega, and Mario on SNES, Sonic blows Mario away.

I played the crap out of Sonic 2 and 3 but that's crazy talk. Sonic just doesn't hold up well. On the other hand, Super Mario World is the magnum opus of 2D platforming.

Speaking of not holding up well, I would have no interest in a N64 mini. Or an original Playstation. The jump to 3D gaming was not pretty in retrospect. Even in HD those games don't look and feel very good.

"I disagree. Although it is a very good game, Donkey Kong is the greatest game ever..."
Billy Madison quotes aside, everyone knows that the original Legend of Zelda was the greatest video game ever.
The rest of your post I agree with, though. 2D Sonic was awesome, and better than Mario.

I kinda agree on Sonic > Mario. Was never really a huge SMB guy. More into Castlevania.
SNES may have been the overall better console but Genesis had some awesome, edgier games.
But also don't sleep on Turbo Grafix 16!!!

Sega CD had a few good games on it. There was that nightscape game that was rated R lol and I like the RPG lunar serious. Being twelve again!
Is that the one that had Dana Plato in it?

I still have my original SNES and Genesis somewhere but my library for the SNES sucked. I played a lot of sports games and the Genesis was better for those games overall.
Yeah I think I tried to split my EA games between the two, I still have NHL 94 and 95 on the SNES, I think I did Madden and NBA on the Genesis.
