Duke

UNC

Kentucky

UCLA

Indiana 

Kansas

Syracuse

Michigan State

 

Everything else is probably a job you can justify leaving if one of these open up.

UCLA definitely not. Syracuse won't be post Boeheim. MSU may not be post Izzo. I see both of those programs going the way of UCLA and Indiana... temporarily ride the Wooden/Knight eras to success, but ultimately a big decline coming.

Think true destinations are limited to Duke/UNC/Kansas/Kentucky basically. Those are basically the 4 programs that just about any coach would leave their situation to go coach.

Nova is becoming a destination job.

I don’t think Wright would leave for any of those 4 jobs unless the money is just stupid(but that could happen with the NBA or even a school not looked at as a destination job)

Thought about them, but they are in the second category. Only temporarily at this level IMO.

EDIT: agreed that Wright probably wouldn't leave Nova for another college program though.

I’d remove UCLA MSU and Syracuse, and likely add Villanova and Louisville.

But there’s a clear top four and that’s UK KU Duke UNC.
