The Battle of Dez Wells. Should be a fun week leading up to this game.

Both teams should be happy to play each other IMO. MD fading down the stretch and so easy to guard and figure out. Xavier has sucked since they lost Sumner. I've always respected Xavier's coach from afar (interested in Chris' thoughts on him as we always tend to value other coaches and undervalue our teams coaches) and I'd give them the edge because there will be less pressure on them and they're a more experienced tournament team.

Quick look I think the matchups will be:
Quentin Goodin - Anthony Cowan
Malcom Bernard - Melo Trimble
JP Macura - Kevin Huerter
Trevon Blueitt - Justin Jackson
Rashid Gaston - Damonte Dodd

I love Chris Mack as a coach. Great recruiter and even better X's and O'x/in-game coach. Inbounds execution plays are his specialty, and he is probably one of the best in the country in that regard. From what I have seen/read/heard about Turgeon, I would think Xavier has the coaching advantage.

I told myself that I wouldn't take MD to win even a single game in this tourney, but with Xavier missing its best player I may have to change that approach.
Damnit,

Great time at 6:50. Can't ask for much better.
KenPom has a 73-72 Xavier win. So basically a toss-up.

Xavier is top 30 in off rebounding and defensive rebounding. Terps likely get dominated on the boards. They better get hot from 3.

It's really not bait. As suspect as we are I think we are better. Turge rage meter only goes up that much more if we lose

Wow, I'm not going to lie, I was nervous when Maryland wasn't named the 7-seed in the West region that somehow they weren't going to make it, especially after seeing Wisconsin start out with an 8-seed.
