BTW, the Yanks are only hitting .240 with RISP. 5 points better than the O's.

Exactly. The big difference is PA with RISP.

The Yankees are middle of the pack with 1002. The Orioles are last in baseball with 843. League average in the AL is 986. The Orioles have had over 140 PAs fewer than the average team with RISP.

The Orioles offense doesn't suck because we can't hit w/ RISP. The offense sucks because we can't get runners in scoring position.

I think that's what I said just with a clarification that hitting in RISP vs how one normally hits is generally not a skill.
