I think “History of you” is season 1. That is basically all of Black Mirrors glory rolled into one episode. It’s got the tech, the awkward, the cringe, the tension, the devastation. Some episodes hit a couple of those notes.

I thought the new season was really meh, which is disappointing cause I liked season 5. The only episode I thought was interesting at all was Joan is Awful. Beyond the Sea was OK.

The second episode is one of my favorites. It's that one, Hang the DJ, or San Junipero.

Joan is Awful, Loch Henry, and Beyond the Sea are good. Mazey Day is not good, bottom 3 all time. Demon 79 was meh. Only because the Demon is so charming and makes you chuckle does it have any redeeming quality. But it's not "Black Mirror", or even sci-fi in nature. This pod I listened to said Charlie Brooker was trying to go in a different direction, admitting he's running out of ideas with tech and simulations being the centerpieces.
