There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Who's getting cut?
Great segment on 105.7 The Fan right now on this with the RSR cap guy. Kendrick Lewis, Zuttah, Dumervil... maybe Webb. Lots of options it seems.

That wasn't the impression I got from reading it. Maybe I'm wrongI actually think WR is ok. I'm still very much in favor of OL/CB all the way. Zuttah needs to go. Also reading RSR's salary cap article, it doesn't look like we'll have very much room to splurge on free agents. There will be plenty of money after they cut players.

Likely cuts are Dumervil and Lewis. Shareece Wright might be a team friendly restructure/paycut.

Zuttah is ok. Could go either way with him.
I would prefer to not cut Webb but I also would want him to take a pay cut.
I don't think you should cut Suggs.

Watson will be interesting to see. Obviously will depend on decision on Pitta. It would be hard to keep both. My preference would be keep Watson, but it is also difficult with the injury to know how he will look. Tough spot for the Ravens.
Arrington clearly gone imo.
I think Webb stays as is. He's maybe slightly overpaid, but not by that much. He was very good down the stretch.

Watson is interesting. I may be ok with bringing him back on a pay cut.

We could draft damn near any position in the late teens. I'd be on board with the CB from USC. Guess it's about that time to start reading up on the 2017 prospects. I could see Ozzie going for Fournette or Cook if they're there when we pick.Wallace has to stay.
SSS is likely gone but I wouldn't be upset if he came back.
Definitely in a BPA area.
The WR from Western Michigan would be nice.

Cook declares for the draft.
This is the RB I would want, if we drafted one early.(not saying we should)
If he is there when the Ravens pick (which I don't think he will be), would you be ok with that pick?

Lot to like with Cook. He does have lower body strength... despite being not that big overall.
Ideally I'd like a more physical guy overall, but adding Cook's hr ability would be nice.

But don't you think we have that guy(s) now?
Cook is that Big speed, playmaking guy we lack.

No, not really. West is just a guy*. He runs between the tackles, but he's not particularly physical.
It's why I wanted Elliott. Fast enough to breakaway, strong enough to run guys over.
*That isn't to say he isn't useful.
I do like Dixon, and he's shown flashes he could be something... but if someone like Cook is on the board when the Ravens pick I'd be plenty tempted.

Cook is fantastic, but I would not like taking a RB in 1st round. WR or Edge, maybe a DB. I think pass rusher is the biggest need and should be a good option in mid first.

That's the question. Does one of those areas of need trump a potential elite playmaker at RB. I don't like taking a RB early, so I would lean towards an edge rusher if you have one rates high enough.
Personally I believe what elliott has done this year will re-open the door for teams to take RB in the first round and I think Fournette and Cook will go top 10 and not be available for us.
However, if he is there, it's a very interesting decision.

Agree with everything you wrote.
I want a corner or an edge rusher, but if Cook was there, it will be real hard to not turn that card in. That speed is a game changer.

First of all, I think the Ravens already have a pretty good RB in Kenneth Dixon. I also don't think either of those two are at the same level as Zeke, even if they are very talented.
Then there is the question of the OL. The Ravens OL is okay, not nearly close to Dallas so even if we do draft a RB early I wouldn't expect the same kind of return on investment.
So drafting a RB is improving a position, but I really don't think it would be a massive impact on the offense is what you would need to justify the selection, at least in my opinion.
An elite edge rusher or WR would have a bigger impact as far as I am concerned, especially the pass-rusher. It's really the last piece the defense is missing from being a truly elite unit.
