Seth is a happy guy!
Supreme court has overturned the gambling laws. States are allowed to do it now.

They'd have to shut up and take my money!
...and give it back after I win. LOL.

Same, although I would have lost big on the RR-Lesnar Mania match

Keep in mind you couldn't bet on Sports in MD before 2020. Has to be voted in state by state, and it's not on this year's ballot, so 2020 is the first time it could come up (and probably will).
Delaware however, is grandfathered in like Nevada, so you may see it in Dover soon.

Life changing potentially for me, but will take a few years to really feel it in our industry. But eventually there will be an entire generation of new gamblers who will be able to bet with no hoops to go through.
Should be fun.

Your company may have to hire a lot more people.

Yea that definitely sucks.
I wonder how easy it would be to register an online account in another state that allows online betting through someone you know who lives in that state. I have lots of friends who live in New Jersey for example.

Oregon was one of the states grandfathered for some type of sports gambling when the federal law went into effect. But the state halted it, in part IIRC because the NCAA made it a condition for Portland to be allowed to host March Madness regional games. I haven't heard anything about either re-starting it or expanding. I would think the tribal casinos (that's all there is here, a ballot measure to allow private casinos in OR was voted down a couple years ago) can offer it immediately since they fall under federal laws and not so much with state regulations.

I dunno, I was just thinking about that this morning. Especially with border states, I'm sure there are going to be ways to work around. I wonder how much impact this will have on AC, it's been on life support for a while, this might be the last hurrah there. At least as it's currently built.
