It's so dumb that you can't bet on sports.
Would be the greatest thing to ever happen to me personally.
You know, besides the wife, kids, all that crap...

The Supreme Court plans on hearing this case. I haven't been to AC in years, but if they allowed for sports betting that would certainly get me to head back there.

Oral arguments were today. A ruling will be made at some point in the first 6 months of 2018.

I believe it was The Verve song "Bittersweet Symphony" with the lyric "Well I've never prayed but tonight I'm on my knees"...That's me when I think about the potential in my industry if this ever comes to fruition.

Would this be a big help to you personally?

Tremendous. Absolutely tremendous.
There are still so many people who wont' go offshore to gamble out of "fear". What exactly they're afraid of, I'm never sure, but this would ease so many minds, it would be a HUGE boost to our business.
I'd be willing to bet (pun intended) that my salary would go up 40-50% within a year or two.

Speaking of legalizing stuff... I visited a storefront in Maryland Saturday to purchase some "medicine" that was recently made legal. What a surreal experience. So freaking cool.

Oh nice. That's awesome.
Such a no brainer thing to do...hope it happens.

Too bad this most likely won't be in place before the World Cup.

This is important to note:
"The implications of this case go far beyond the issue of sports betting. If the NCAA and its allies win, the federal government will be able to enact laws preventing from legalizing almost any activity they previously banned, except perhaps in cases where they do so without leaving any regulatory restrictions in place at all. That will potentially constrain state experimentation on issues as varied drug legalization, licensing reform, gun control, land use restrictions, environmental policy, and many, many others. "
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty
