Lol. Hey we have been losing let's form a super team of O'Neal, Bryant, Rice, Fox, Harper, etc etc. Get the best coach at the time and dominate the NBA for years. I guess it sucks when someone else does it and it is not your team.

#MackusGifz. Let's see if Pedro does it on himself.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

LeBron became the first player ever to average a triple double in the finals.

LeBron still has one legit title. 1-7. When KD beats him next year you won't even be able to claim he was the best of his generation anymore.

So titles are the end all when defining best? Also, which one do you consider legit?

I'm just joining this convo. Did we get any scorching hot takezzzz on Durant being better than LeBron?

Were these takes laughed at derisively?

Are you being serious?  The Lakers signed O'Neal.  And Shaq didn't join a great 73 win team.  He joined Kobe who was still developing.

And if you're comparing Rice, Fox and Harper to guys like Klay and Green then I'm not sure what to tell you.

You're way off base here, but carry on.

#MackusGifz. Let's see if Pedro does it on himself.

Of course not.  His post was terrible.

Btw, if you wanted to actually call the Lakers out for doing something like this Malone and Payton in 2004 and Nash and Howard are much better examples.

It's still a bad comparison.

Yes I forgot everything has to line up exactly like the warriors for only the warriors to be a hollow victory. Carry on thinking teams never add hall of famers when they are good teams. Everyone pretends the Bulls never added Rodman when they were a great team to add a hall of famer to their squad. So I guess everything post Rodman was hollow. Keep on thinking the Lakers did not win 53 games the year before they went out and got one of the best players of all time lol. Keep your glasses on bud.
<p>I am pretty sure Shack is thinking of PBR.

Oh man.

53 wins.  Adding Shaq.  A team that was pretty bad in the years leading up to that.

Compared to 73 wins, back to back Finals appearances, with a title (and maybe 2 if Green hadn't been suspended) adding a top 10 player of all time, the same guy who, by the way, was just eliminated by the team he was joining.

You're comparing this to the Bulls adding  Dennis Rodman?  Or the Lakers adding Shaq?

Yes, there have always been great teams, that's why you win titles, because you're a great team.  But this Warriors title is completely different.  If you can't see that then not much else I can say and I suspect you're probably picking a fight and may not watch the NBA all that much.

The warriors basically added 2 players. AI and then KD.

Teams sign free agents all the time.

This is really all about KD. You can decide whether this title (and any others he wins in GS) should be held in the same regard as others and that is the type of discussion you have when you are comparing all time greats.

But that doesn't change the greatness of this team, how they should be viewed throughout history, etc...

Different era's but yes I will compare good teams getting hall of fame players when they are already good to this because that is exactly the same scenario.  Now in this new style of the NBA players collude with each other and try to form these teams.  Lebron got out Lebron'd in this scenario and Durrant joined a team with an awesome base and well taken care of salary cap.  I don't think its hollow he just out did what Lebron does on a yearly basis to win a title?  Is it hollow?  No because they still played the season and played the second best team with the best player in the NBA to win the title.

Oh I agree this is the best NBA team I have ever seen -- but it's totally meaningless to me in terms of how I view KD.  Rings are the thing in the NBA and KD is a "champion" with huge quotation marks.

It was a total bitch move on his part and the title is hollow in my opinion.

If KD had stayed in OKC and never won a title, how much would you hold that against him?

Technically this is wrong because he missed the entire year with an injury one of the title years.

They were talking about this on Mike and Mike this morning.
