BB has the Wild on a roll and in 2nd place in their division. Say what you want about his post season abilities, but you can't deny his ability to improve a team and get them to the post season.

The NHL released its top 100 players. Didn't rank them because I guess they didn't feel like explaining to Orr, Gretzky, and Lemieux why they're ranked ahead of Gordie Howe. There were some glaring omissions. Here are five of them.

Looks like he has finally stumbled upon a great goalie too. Boudreau has been cursed by goalies in the postseason. I give up attempting to explain it.

Something very interesting to keep an eye on regarding Trump's immigration ban (7 countries, including dual citizens of those countries):
Mika Zibanejad of the New York Rangers might be drastically affected. He's a citizen of Sweden and was born there. However, his father was born in Iran and his mother is from Finland. His father fled Iran due to the Iran-Iraq War. From what I've read about Sweden's requirements for dual citizenship, Mika fits the requirements to be a dual citizen of Sweden and Iran. This could get ugly.

Only posting this because this is the only time I'll ever mention Eric Lindros and Justin Bieber in the same sentence.

If you're going to post something about Bieber it's gotta be Pronger slamming his face into the boards!

Somehow I missed this. Apparently when the last collective bargaining agreement was reached, the NHLPA negotiated bye weeks for all of the teams. Each team gets 5 days completely off without any practice at all and usually a whole week between games. I hadn't heard about this at all until I heard them mentioning the Caps bye week (after tomorrow's game, they are off until the 18th). Interesting concept, but then it does lead to a bit of a schedule crunch for teams when they resume play.

In a stat that should surprise nobody, teams are now 3-12-4 in their first game back following their bye. No games is one thing, but the fact that the teams aren't even allowed to practice during the break puts them at a disadvantage when they return to action.
