He's throwing out P-values... that's a red flag...
He says he's doing it because they are "too limiting"... which is code for "I can't get results if I use them"...
P-values exist for a reason... a very good reason... ignoring makes it easier to get what-appear-to-be-results... it's a bogus thing to do...
On a more positive note, at least he's admitting it out loud... so, while I might not trust his findings, I am more inclined to trust him...

Elvis Andrus' contract is a reminder that you don't pay big for defense
I wonder how much of his story is that he signed a big contract for a lot of years... makes it harder to stay hungry....
No stats for this kind of thing... but big money is yet another variable that might affect aging curves... on the one hand, they can afford to work at staying in shape 365... but on the other hand, any "survivor bias" is gonna be inseparable from whatever kind of "fat city" bias might come into play... because no survivor isn't downright wealthy...

Major League Baseball announces a 30-second mound visit clock, new slide rules
-Managers will have 30 seconds from leaving the dugout to talk to their pitcher before the umpire must break up the meeting.
-There will be 20 fewer seconds between each inning in both regular and nationally-televised games (the latter gets an extra 20 seconds)
-The sliding rule, well, changed a bit.
