Going steady (do people still say that anymore?) with a Phillies fan? Well, to your credit, it's hard to avoid that given your neck of the woods. I guess I'll allow it. ;)

Haha, thanks for your permission.

I don't have any issue with the Phillies actually.

And no, I don't think people still say that. ;)

Yeah, I don't mind them. I probably would if I were a Gnats fan... but thankfully, I am not.

That was the hardest part of living in DE for me, all of a sudden I was in a PHI market and being a Skins/O's fan, it didn't go well.

Where I'm at there is a mix of Philly/Baltimore fans with a decent lean to Philly, so it's not too bad.

Yeah I was a little further south, so I guess there was a decent mix, but it was still really weird for me you know? To grow up city-style and then move to slower-lower was a culture shock for me at 17.

The previous thread was a bit unruly (and out of date).

Here is a thread for new posters to say hello, and existing posters who gave introductions in the previous thread to provide any updates they would like to give.

EDIT: Maybe we can use this format:

1) Name:

2) Age:

3) Website, and/or Twitter:

4) If you've been an active BSL poster, what should new posters like here?:

5) If you've been an active BSL poster, review our registered member list, & name a BSL poster you'd like to hear more from:

6) Other (anything additional you would like to add):

I've been a long-time poster, but I'll reintroudce myself...

Madison, 27, Arlington VA (grew up in MoCo)

Graduated from Colorado-Boulder. (I'll make some references here and there to CU sports)

Twitter: levineps

As my username suggests, I'm a big O's fan. Next is CU sports. Also into the Ravens&Maryland athletics (mainly football&basketball). I follow other DMV sports more or less including the Caps/Wizards/Redskins.I love fantasy football and March Madness. I'm into the NFL, college football, and college basketball, moreso than MLB despite the O's being my first passion.

Eventually, I'd like to get to every MLB ballpark.

Outside of sports, I like to travel and try new restaurants.

I'm looking forward to the growth of this site. Chris has done a great job cultivating and have enjoyed the articles, discussions, hearing different POVs.

Hi there, thanks for the invite!

Jake, 30

@JakesBabble

@BirdsEyeViewBal

I'm half of the "talent" on the Bird's Eye View podcast, and love talking Orioles baseball. Big Ravens fan, and I follow Terps and American University basketball.

Outside the realm of sports, I have a wife and two kids, and an unhealthy obsession with the Beatles.

Recent Towson graduate. Sports are my passion, and I actually graduated with a degree in sports management.

Football and lacrosse were my first loves. I'm a huge Ravens and Fighting Irish fan, I'm all about the O's and Caps, and of course show my love for Towson athletics and Maryland lacrosse in general.

I actually was introduced to this site through Twitter, you can find me @Bmore_Irish.

Cheers!

Ahhh, the degree in SM from Towson...same worthless degree I have.  LOL  Well, not "worthless" but I always felt Towson could have made that a better program than they did, at least when I was there...maybe its improved?

Its a shame Dr Chen left before you got there...what an awful teacher he was.

Did you ever have Zang?

It's probably imporved a fair bit. They've put more emphasis on the program as interest has grown. Idk what it was like when you were there, but it's now required that you minor in Business Admin as well, and there's a pretty good offering of courses in different aspects of the sports industry. We'll see where it gets me though lol.

And yes, I had Zang in 'The Modern Olympic Games'. Zang is the man, funny guy. Always wanted to debate in class and I enjoy a good debate, so he liked me lol.

I took the same class with Zang.

A lot of our classes would end up being the 2 of us discussing stuff....he was an excellent teacher.

I am guessing the classes were better but I also had a lot of biz stuff as well that I had to take.
