I studied journalism at MD -- the JSchool is one of two schools there you have to apply to to get in (Business being the other).

Decided around the end of my junior year it wasn't for me and did the law thing.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

There are a couple you have to apply to now. Even Psychology is a LEP (limited enrollment program) now.

After eight years on OH, I have left there and will try this place out (I wasn't banned or anything - never had an infraction or anything).

I recognize a lot of the names here, so maybe it'll feel like home soon. It would help if the color orange was around.

Been an O's fan since age 9 when I first paid attention to baseball and the Orioles were in the playoffs in 1979. I had family in Maryland and Pennsylvania. I first visited Baltimore in 1984 when I got to see the Inner Harbor fireworks on the Fourth of July. I've loved the city ever since. Been to more Oriole games than I can count -- I made it to five last year, including Game 2 of the ALDS (best time I've ever had).

I'm not the most prolific poster, but I think I'm alright guy to have around.

A good addition, welcome dude.

Hey, if I build up enough "karma" to get a state flag, can I have a Tennessee flag? Rebel flag would be cool too, but I won't push my luck.

I just joined and only found out that there was a forum here so figured I'd check this place out since I see some old OH posters I liked reading. I am a longtime lurker of OH and didnt post much at all, but my name there is B-more if that matters. Born and raised in Baltimore and went to Maryland. So I am also a Raven and Terp fan, hence the name.

I now live in Las Vegas and am a lawyer, but have moved around a lot since college.

Welcome dude. I find that lurkers sometimes felt too overwhelmed over there (numbers of people) and find it easier and more comfortable to post here, so welcome.

Las Vegas lawyer huh? Believe it or not, I know a couple guys that have gone that exact route (although I think most have moved on now).
