It has been an ugly year for Chris, but he is still going to hit near 40 bombs, drive in around 100, and have the 3rd best OBP on the team.

On top of that is the defense which is terrific.

Not a year that Crush will look back on as one of his best, but not the disaster some will make it.

 

Except that the part of the season when he knocks the cover off the ball is gonna be down the stretch when it's most needed and will stand out more... he wins us a few games that count and nobody except haters will remember the extended dry spell...

He may have one of the best personalities, but he's not good at the actual play by play.

 

Depends on how much weight you put on never screwing up vs. being able to describe things quickly and clearly... he's good at the latter...

 

Plus, he's our guy...

Interesting you mentioned this Shack. I absolutely would like to see all pitchers have eephus as part of their arsenal. Break that pitch out 4-5 times a start, and that will throw off some timing.  Yeah, if a hitter is looking for it, it will be crushed... but definitely could see you getting k's from hitters looking for something hard.

He actually said that getting the calls right "messes with the integrity of the game's records" because they didn't used to get all the calls right... (I am not making this up)... now, if he was joking that might be almost funny, but he was in very serious whine mode...
