Watching but not nearly as into this without NHL players.
It's all relative. It's not like the goaltenders are sieves, or the shooters can't shoot. Some of the passing looks sloppy at times. But in the NHL it does too where the defense is better.
If you care about name recognition though it is harder. Though some of these guys you will see in the NHL eventually.

Shootout time. Wish in the elimination games it was straight sudden death.

Dammit. USA shutout in the shootout. Zapolski allowed just one goal in the shootout. Was good enough, all night. Offense just wasn't there enough. Only 20 shots in 70 minutes.
Czech's moving on to the medal round.

Really disappointing games for Team USA. Will be interesting to see what the response is.

Women go to OT. 20 minute sudden death. Mens was only 10 minutes. What's up with that?
Could be longer because it was the Gold Medal game?

The women's hockey final was great! They should take that show on the road...
BTW, does anybody know anybody who knows anybody that likes curling as a sport? (Not as a goofy time-filler, but as an actual sporting competition?)

I really enjoy watching curling but it's obviously not a sport. Most Olympic events aren't though.
Curling doesn't require enough athleticism to be a sport in my book, but it does at least have offensive and defensive aspects to it. Most of the other events require tons of athletic ability to participate, but I don't think timed races or judged events are sports. If your opponent can't directly influence what you are doing, then it's not a sport. It's an athletic competition.

When is the gold medal curling match? That's appointment TV.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
