Since being put back in the rotation he's had 11 starts in which he's pitched 66 innings, 45 H, 29 BB, 79 K, and 3.68 ERA.

Is there any advantage to try and extend him as part of a deal with the Twins as opposed to waiting until the offseason? What what you feel good about offering? 3@$36 with incentives?

I wouldn't extend Liriano if we traded for him - unless he was willing to take a 2/$10 deal or something.

I do believe he'd be a pretty smart/cheap pickup for us though if we do decide we want him.

I don't see any reason to trade for him unless moves are made to upgrade the offense and defense.

And I think 3/36 is way too much for him. Much rather get Anibal Sanchez.
