Yes, Im grading on a working for PA scale too. C+ is fine overall for his time here. Dont know how anyone gives him above a D since the end of '14.

Then we don't really disagree at all.

I dont know if Id go C+ overall though. Would have to look and think more in depth. Top of my head it's a straight C and more thought and research would probably move it up or down to a + or -.

Really am pissed and disheartened by the work hes done since  the end of '14.

Well, according to some folks, the worse our GM is, the better the team turns out to be (contrary to their own expectations).

Funny thing, that   ;-)

They win despite him and because of Buck.

I think DD is pretty bad at his job. And I also think PA severely hinders him.

It's a bad situation.

All your pals in the clubhouse tell you this is how it is, huh?   What other inside knowledge can you share with ius?

It's a bad situation in my opinion. I don't need to be in the clubhouse to know that working for PA, when you're already not a great GM, is a bad situation.

Other than the Trumbo deal, what has he done in that time period that was really good?

This is an excellent point that you are raising here.

The reason I like the point is because we are in our window right now and not enough has been done to take advantage of that.

There is one question I do have, that we can't answer...did DD have enough influence on PA to get the payroll up to 150M or would that have happened either way?

Now, I don't like how its spent but its still at a level that none of us would have thought it would go to.

If he did have influence on that and he convinced PA to do that, DD does deserve credit there.

Well you know Angelos is hindering him in some way.

Still the trades are pretty much all DD and he's made some bad ones.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

There is a lot to dislike where Im positive PA had little to no influence at all. Parra trade, Snider trade, Matusz arb and trade, De Aza arb and cut, Webb trade, signing and cutting of Wes Wright, Everth Cabrera and Delmon Young.Release of MGon.

He'll deserve some blame if the contract he gave out to Davis turns sour but it's one I definitely think PA has his handprints on and I wont kill him for it.

I still have no idea why they traded for Parra...that was fucking awful.

Pretty decent effort by Miley tonight. That's a tough lineup. His K and BB rates have actually been pretty good so far for us.

HIs line would have been better if he had been taken out (the right move) after the end of 6 yesterday. I think you got to put him on the playoff roster.

Yeah, I tell you what, I enjoy watching him. He wastes no time, throws strikes (generally) and gets strike outs while limiting hits.

He reminds you a little of Buehrle with his quick pace, ability to hold runners and the way he can command all of his pitches.

Very similar pitchers although Buehrle had better results.
